David is a business executive with extensive experience in building successful enterprises internationally as well as Australia. With a strong belief that the key to success is to remain focused on the customer, this drives the organisation's core values, methods of operating and its performance measures. He is also passionate in creating a climate within an organisation where a learning culture can grow and flourish.

David has experience in consumer good industries as a finance executive including management exposure in manufacturing, logistics, sales/marketing and IT.

He has extensive general management experience in retail with business turnaround and expansion of a major chain in the UK. Also held business development roles in Canada, USA, Japan and New Zealand.

David started the HMV retail chain in Australia growing it to a business employing +700 people on leaving, with the customer focused culture being maintained in a multi -site, multi-state environment. His greatest satisfaction coming from growing, building a team capable of business delivery and succession on him leaving.

He also has general management experience in nonprofit organizations mainly as a catalyst for change. Change management with several stakeholders is always a challenge however great outcomes were achieved.

David is known for his strong leadership, organizational development and strategic planning capabilities. He has sound business judgment and experience of building organizations through people in many countries.

Change is the only constant, the ability not only to lead people through change but to increase their capability builds successful enterprises, David has spent his corporate life building successful teams, utilising the skills and the development of the individual. His experience of coaching the individual to improve their effectiveness not only for themselves but the organization he believes forms a critical part in managing for success.

David has experience of working at all levels in an organization from senior executives to floor employees.

David is a qualified accountant and has a degree in business. He has been on many leadership education and development programs throughout his corporate life. He has also been fortunate to work in international companies in many parts of the world providing him with a vast experience of cultural and working practices.
